Awarded with the INNOVATIONSPREIS -IT 2014 in the category Green IT

Only innovations that see the light of day can conquer the market, and only enterprises that recognize them and take the appropriate steps can attract new customers.

The renowned INNOVATIONSPREIS-IT (prize for IT-innovations) 2014 has established itself among middle-sized businesses and the IT sector in the past 11 years, thus successfully creating an organ and a platform that allows ambitious companies to present themselves and gain public attention.

Many editors, marketing experts, developers, and administrators see to it that information about these innovations achieve a large circulation and create awareness.

The award-winning innovations range from decisive improvements in public relations and marketing, to innovations based on existing IT-technology, extraordinary apps and finally the increasingly important developments in the area of reducing the use of natural resources by utilizing those resources available to reduce costs and especially to protect the environment!

Alltogether, in 2014 the Initiative Mittelstand (medium-sized businesses) awarded prizes in 41 categories. A top-class jury specifically selected highly innovative products with application potential for medium-sized businesses.

Three products were nominated from each of the 41 categories for the INNOVATIONSPREIS-IT 2014. The winners in each of the 41 categories were then selected among these nominees.

Kyocera Umweltpreis 2013!

For the fourth year running, KYOCERA Document Solutions, together with the Deutsche Umwelthilfe (DUH [German environment support]), the Bundesverband mittelständische Wirtschaft (BVMW [ federal comittee for medium–sized businesses]), the Bundesdeutscher Arbeitskreis für Umweltbewusstes Management (B.A.U.M. e.V. [registered federal study-group for evironmentally conscious management]), the Fraunhofer Institut für Arbeitswirtschaft und

Organisation (IAO […for industrial engineering and organisation]), and the Wirtschaftskammer Österreich (WKO [Austrian chamber of commerce]) granted the KYOCERA-Umweltpreis [environmental prize] endowed with a total of € 100.000. Companies, organizations and civil offices could apply with sustainable technologies and projects in four categories.

From the more than 90 applicants, GeoCool was selected for the final round which is presently taking place. On January, the 30^th, 2014, during the Zukunftsforum des Fraunhofer Instituts [… forum for the future] an independent jury headed by former German secretary for environment, protection of nature, and reactor safety, Prof. Dr. Klaus Töpfer, will decide whether GeoCool will be one of the winners.
